Snowflake Database Administrator

As a Snowflake Database Administrator with 4 to 8 years of experience, you will be responsible for the design, architecture, and performance tuning of Snowflake databases. Your expertise in Oracle DB and SQL query optimization will be crucial for ensuring efficient database operations. You should have a strong grasp of DDL/DML operations, data replication, and failover handling. Knowledge of Time Travel, Cloning, and RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) will also be required for effective data management. In addition, you should be familiar with tools such as OEM, Tuning Advisor, and AWR reports for monitoring and reporting purposes. Your soft skills, including strong communication and coordination with application teams, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, will be essential for successful collaboration and decision-making. Previous experience as an Apps DBA or similar role, exposure to agile methodologies, and hands-on experience with Snowflake admin best practices, load optimization, and secure data sharing will be valuable assets in this position.
