Job Title

SMT / PTH Process Specialist

Job Summary

Surface Mount Technology (SMT)

Key Responsibilities

Manage and optimize
SMT and PTH assembly processes
for PCB manufacturing
Set up, validate, and improve
SMT lines and PTH soldering processes
Troubleshoot manufacturing issues related to
component placement, soldering defects, and process failures
Reduce defects such as
solder bridges, dry solder, missing/misaligned components
Support production teams during
new product introduction (NPI)
and mass production
Conduct
root cause analysis (RCA)
and implement corrective and preventive actions
Improve
yield, productivity, and process efficiency
Ensure compliance with
quality standards and IPC guidelines
Work closely with
quality, production, and engineering teams
Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives

Mandatory Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on experience in
SMT and PTH processes
Knowledge of
PCB assembly and electronics manufacturing
Experience with
reflow soldering, wave soldering, and pick-and-place machines
Good understanding of
process optimization and troubleshooting
Familiarity with
quality standards (IPC preferred)

Education Qualification

Diploma or Bachelors Degree (BE / BTech)
in:

Electronics Engineering
Electronics & Communication Engineering
Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering
