Job Description

A Civil Site Supervisor plays a crucial role in the successful completion of civil engineering projects such as roads, bridges, buildings, drainage systems, and other infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities: Supervision of Site Activities: Overseeing the daily operations of construction activities, ensuring that all work is being carried out according to design specifications and safety standards. Coordinating and managing labor forces, subcontractors, and material suppliers on-site. Quality Control: Ensuring that the construction work meets the required quality standards and compliance with local building codes and regulations. Conducting inspections of the work to identify issues and ensuring corrective measures are taken. Safety Management: Promoting and enforcing safety protocols on-site, conducting safety inspections, and ensuring the team follows safety procedures. Reporting and investigating any accidents or incidents on-site. Project Documentation: Keeping accurate records of site activities, progress, material usage, and personnel. Assisting in the preparation of daily, weekly, or monthly progress reports for the project manager. Resource Management: Ensuring that all materials, tools, and equipment needed for the project are available and properly maintained. Managing the workforce and scheduling labor to optimize efficiency. Problem Solving: Addressing and resolving issues that arise during construction, whether technical, logistical, or personnel-related. Communicating and liaising with engineers, architects, and project managers to resolve problems and keep the project on track. Skills Required: Technical Knowledge: Understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and building codes.
