Site Reliability Engineer

Role Overview: As a System Engineer at PhonePe Limited, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of systems by utilizing your knowledge in Linux/Unix Administration, networking, and a wide variety of open source technologies/tools and cloud services. Your responsibilities will include participating in on-call rotations, maintaining good English communication skills, and having a strong background in Linux networking. You will also be involved in working with MySQL, code/script understanding, and automation/configuration management. Additionally, hands-on experience in private and public cloud environments will be essential for this role. Key Responsibilities: - Knowledge in Linux/Unix Administration - Knowledge in networking - Knowledge of a wide variety of open source technologies/tools and cloud services - Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service - Participate in on-call rotation - Good English communications skills - Strong background in Linux networking (ip, iptables, ipsec) - Knowledge of working with MySQL - A working understanding of code and script (e.g., Perl/Golang preferred) - Knowledge of automation/configuration management using either saltstack or equivalent - Hands-on experience in private and public cloud environments Qualifications Required: - Implementation of cloud services on Linux using kvm/qemu - DCOS (mesos & mesos frameworks) - Aerospike (NoSQL) - Perl/Golang - Galera - OpenBSD - Data center related activities (Rarely needed) Additional Details: PhonePe Limited offers a vibrant culture where you are encouraged to bring your best self to work every day.
