Role Overview: As a skilled SRE - System Engineer at PhonePe Limited, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the reliability and performance of one of the world's largest fintech infrastructures. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the services remain always-up and always-available. You will be part of a dynamic team where you will have the opportunity to work with open source technologies, tools, and cloud services to solve complex problems and execute quickly. Key Responsibilities: - Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration and extensive experience in the field. - Strong computer networking skills and knowledge. - Utilize a wide variety of open source technologies and tools, with a focus on cloud services. - Implement best practices and IT operations to maintain an always-up, always-available service. - Participate actively in the on-call rotation schedule. - Effective communication in English. - Strong background in Linux networking, including IP, iptables, and IPsec. - Work effectively with MySQL databases; experience with Mariadb and Percona is a plus. - Apply coding and scripting skills, preferably in Perl, Python, or Golang. - Experience with automation and configuration management using tools like SaltStack. - Hands-on experience with private cloud environments.
