The site manager is overall responsible for execution of job at site & will report to Project Director and head of Site Construction. He has to effectively communicate with customer, site contractors and other vendors.
His responsibility shall be to take care of site team. His roles and responsibilities are listed below.
1. Should have the necessary managerial, leadership, and communication skills to discuss with customer and vendors both.
2. Should be able to lead site team of 50-60 people including Commissioning Engineers, Testing Engineers, Safety, Store In charge,
3. Should be able to perform in multiple phases of the project at same time.
4. Create the site execution plan based on the input from client and GC.
5. Ensure adherence to execution plan avoiding schedule variance.
6. Should be able to generate variation order if SE is doing any additional work.
7. Coordinating with customer on all site related issues ensuring customer satisfaction.
8. Communication with all project stake holder through various means like : mails/ Daily progress report, Work progress report, Monthly progress report
9. Attending all daily meeting with customer & GC & put forward out stand clearly and fimly.
10. Ensure the all manpower comes at site on time at site.
11. Ensuring that all the work is carried out as per the quality guidelines avoiding non conformities.
12. Compliance to Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) management on site.
13. To get the necessary statutory compliance and abiding them at site.
14. Effective vendor management to ensure adequate manpower as per site requirement.
15. Effective coordination with external and internal resources for commissioning of the system.
16. As an administrator of site, ensure smooth running of the site office facilities.
17. Provide guidance and motivating site team for effective working at site.
18. Sharing the learning to provide effective feedback.
