Role and Responsibilities

As a Project Site Engineer for on-ground safety interventions, the candidate will oversee site execution related to road maintenance, signage, lighting, road markings, and safety improvements. Responsibilities include supervising subcontractors, coordinating with government bodies and vendors, ensuring timely and quality work as per design and specifi cations, and maintaining accurate documentation of materials and site progress. The role involves managing installations like cameras and enforcement systems, conducting quality checks, and ensuring compliance with IRC guidelines. The engineer must prepare reports, technical letters, and support audits. Strong communication, CAD profi ciency, and problem-solving skills are essential. The role may evolve based on organizational needs and direction from reporting authorities.

Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Execution:

Oversee daily site operations related to road maintenance, signage installation, lighting, and safety treatments.

Interpret technical drawings and ensure that work is executed as per the design specifi cations.

Supervise subcontractors to ensure timely, high-quality execution.

Ensure adherence to project design, specifi cations, and safety standards.

Coordination & Communication:

Coordinate with government bodies, vendors, and internal teams.

Liaise with offi cials for approvals and compliance if required.

Maintain effective communication with the project coordination team.

Material & Equipment Management:

Ensure proper stacking, handling, and documentation of materials.

Prevent unloading of materials rejected by QC.

Supervise installation of cameras, enforcement systems, street view, and drone setups.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

Conduct site measurements and ensure quality checks.

Follow IRC guidelines and safety protocols.

Maintain quality standards throughout execution.

Reporting & Documentation:

Prepare daily progress reports and site activity records.

Draft technical reports.

Support internal reporting and Safety audit processes.

Work Conditions & Flexibility:

Willingness to travel extensively across India to project sites, with up to 80% travel time.

Work during early mornings, evenings, or nights as required.

Be open to extended stays at fi eld locations.

Address and resolve complex issues as they arise.

Encourage innovation within the team to meet challenges creatively.

Professional Experience

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related fi eld.

Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in site execution, preferably in road safety or infrastructure projects.
