Site EHS Engineer

As the Site EHS Engineer for LTPO-L&T Energy-CarbonLite Solutions FGD Durgapur Project Site, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) organization. Your primary goal will be to provide high-quality EHS services to the operations team and support them in achieving benchmark performance levels. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring the effective implementation of the EHS Policy and Integrated Management System at the project site. You will be required to develop and facilitate the implementation of project-specific EHS and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) guidelines and procedures. Conducting project-specific risk assessments, providing EHS training, and designing site-specific training programs for staff, subcontractors, workmen, and visitors will also be part of your duties. You will be expected to monitor both proactive and reactive EHS performance at the project site continuously. In case of any shortcomings, you will need to work closely with the operations team to implement necessary corrective and preventive actions. Additionally, you will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining emergency preparedness and response procedures at the project site. Another crucial aspect of your role will be the implementation of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management system standards at the site. Your expertise in EHS, occupational health, incident management, risk assessment, and inspection will be vital in ensuring compliance with these standards. To qualify for this position, you should have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in EHS roles and hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety and Environmental Management (PGDISEM) along with a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or Master of Technology (M.Tech) degree.
