The role involves ensuring timely filing of returns, managing assessments, assisting in tax audits, and supporting tax planning initiatives in line with regulatory requirements applicable to housing finance com panes. Key Responsi biliies: Direc t Taxtion: - Preparation and filing of quarterly TDS returns and reconciliation (26AS, Form 1/16A). - Assistance in corporate income tax return filing, computation of advance tax, and deferre d tax wrkings. - Support in tax audits, responding to tax notices, and handling scru tiny assssments. - Maintain records of tax payments, refund tracking, and coordination with consultants a nd tax auhorities. - Ensure compliance with withholding tax provisions including 194A (interest), 194J (pro fessional ees), e tc. Indiret Taxation: - Preparation and filing of monthly GST returns (GST R-1, GSTR-3B GSTR-9/9C). - Reconciliation of GSTR-2B wit h Input Tax Cedit claimed. - Maintain and review GST registers anddocumentation. - Coordinate with branches for GST compliance includ ing RCM and invice validation. - Assist in responding to GST departmen tal queries, notces, and audits. Regulatory and Inernal Compliance: - Ensure adherence to RBI and NHB guidelines applicable to t axation in housingfinance companies. - Assist in maintaining tax schedules fo r statutory audits nd internal audits. - Participate in tax planning and advisory activities to improve tax efficieny and minimize risk.
