Simulation Engineer FEA

As a Simulation Engineer specializing in Structures, your role will involve working with the Engineering Solutions team. Your main responsibilities will include: - Providing expert-level technical support and consulting for Ansys Mechanical, covering various types of analyses such as linear and nonlinear static, dynamic, and thermal analyses, as well as Rigid Body dynamics. - Assisting customers with pre and post-processing tasks, including geometry clean-up, meshing, boundary conditions, and result interpretation. - Troubleshooting and guiding customers on model setup, meshing, convergence issues, and result interpretation. - Supporting custom workflows that involve material modeling, contact behavior, and sub-modeling. - Developing and validating FEA models to address engineering challenges across different industries, and potentially utilizing other solvers like Abaqus or Nastran. Qualifications required for this role include: - M.Tech/MS in Applied Mechanics, Machine Design, or related mechanical disciplines is preferred. - B.Tech/B.E. with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on FEA experience will also be considered. In terms of skills and experience, you should have: - Hands-on experience with Ansys Mechanical (Workbench). - A solid understanding of FEA theory, including contacts, meshing, material modeling, and large deformation analysis. - Familiarity with APDL, Abaqus, Nastran, or other solvers is a plus. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and simplify complex topics. - A team-oriented approach with the ability to solve technical problems in a consultative manner. Preferred qualifications for this role may include experience in strength and durability analysis, automation, parametric optimization, or simulation data processing. Exposure to CAD tools and integration (SpaceClaim, SolidWorks, Creo, etc.) and understanding of HPC usage in simulation would also be advantageous.,
