Role Overview: You will be the Senior Shopify Tech Lead at vCommission, responsible for owning and driving all Shopify and Shopify Plus development. This role will give you the opportunity to collaborate directly with the Founder, influence the Shopify tech vision, architect scalable solutions, and lead a high-performing development team. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the Shopify & Shopify Plus technical roadmap in close partnership with the Founder. - Architect high-performance, scalable Shopify stores focusing on speed, UI/UX, and stability. - Manage, mentor, and guide the Shopify development team; review code and enforce best practices. - Build custom themes, private apps, advanced integrations, automation flows, and middleware solutions. - Implement automation workflows for operational efficiency and enhanced store performance. - Collaborate with product, design, marketing, and operations teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex, escalated technical issues efficiently. - Ensure best-in-class standards for code quality, security, documentation, and performance tuning. Qualifications Required: - 7+ years of core Shopify/Shopify Plus development experience, with strong hands-on expertise. - Deep knowledge of Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, APIs, Webhooks, and custom Shopify app development. - Proven experience leading technical teams and handling end-to-end project delivery. - Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization skills. - Ability to work directly with the Founder to execute fast-moving business and tech priorities. - High ownership mindset - someone who enjoys building systems, solving problems, and delivering results.
