Shopify Front End Developer

As a Shopify Front-end Developer at Arbot Studio, you will be a key player in building, customizing, and optimizing eCommerce websites on the Shopify platform. Your deep expertise in Shopify theme development, Liquid, and modern front-end technologies will be crucial in ensuring the success of our projects. Here's what you'll be responsible for: - Develop and customize eCommerce sites on the Shopify platform. - Build custom Shopify themes from scratch. - Extend Shopify's functionalities using Storefront APIs, Liquid programming, metafields, and custom scripts. - Integrate third-party and platform-supported apps into Shopify stores. - Ensure page speed optimization and implement SEO/CRO best practices. - Create responsive, cross-browser-compatible website designs. - Develop and deploy backend systems as necessary for Shopify operations. - Work with the GIT version control system. - Troubleshoot and debug across devices and browsers. - Maintain documentation of themes, components, and workflows. - Stay up to date with Shopify platform updates and new features. - Thoroughly QA all work before submission. Required Qualifications: - Strong knowledge of the Shopify platform. - Expertise in Shopify theme development and customization. - Expert-level knowledge of the Shopify Liquid templating language. - Proficiency in working with different Shopify JS APIs. - Expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. - Knowledge of Tailwind CSS. - Knowledge of backend APIs (GraphQL, REST) and integrating them into Shopify. - Thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues. - Strong understanding of responsive web design techniques. - Understanding of W3C web standards, semantics, and accessibility guidelines. - Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Nice-to-have Qualifications: - Backend experience with Python/Node.js and GraphQL. - Experience building apps for Shopify (App Bridge, Svelte/React, PostgresDB). - Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS. - Experience with AI Tools and a willingness to learn.
