Description
As a skilled Shopify Developer with experience in Node.js backend and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing Shopify storefronts, creating custom apps, integrating APIs, and ensuring smooth performance across cloud environments. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing, customizing, and maintaining Shopify themes and apps using Liquid, JavaScript, and Node.js. - Building and managing Shopify private and public apps using Shopify APIs like Admin API, Storefront API, and GraphQL API. - Creating and managing serverless backend services (Node.js / Express) on platforms like AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, etc. - Integrating Shopify with various third-party systems such as OMS, WMS, CRM, ERP, and marketing tools. - Optimizing website performance, SEO, and page speed across different devices and regions. - Implementing secure data handling practices and managing cloud-based assets, environment variables, and access controls. - Collaborating with Design, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure seamless eCommerce experiences. - Monitoring and debugging live production systems using cloud monitoring tools and CI/CD pipelines. - Maintaining best practices for version control, deployment automation, and code documentation. Your qualifications should include: - 3-5 years of experience as a Shopify Developer or Full-Stack JavaScript Developer. - Strong proficiency in Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and Node.js. - Hands-on experience with Shopify APIs (REST, GraphQL) and webhooks. - Cloud proficiency in AWS, Azure, or GCP, including serverless architecture, S3/Blob storage, IAM, and monitoring tools. - Experience in building scalable APIs, managing async tasks, and optimizing API response times. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines like GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, or similar. - Strong understanding of Shopify Plus workflows, checkout extensibility, and metafields. - Good grasp of database systems such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Firebase. - Problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment. Good to have: - Experience with React / Next.js for headless Shopify development. - Exposure to analytics and reporting dashboards using Node.js or cloud data tools. - Understanding of Shopify POS, multi-channel integrations, and automation tools like Zapier, Make, etc. - Knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes for scalable deployment.
