Description
The Senior Front-End Developers role is to translate the designs, UX, customer journey into fully functioning, cross-browser/device compatible eCommerce stores or web applications on Shopify Plus, using Liquid Code, HTML, CSS3, and JavaScript. Our Role Turning a custom design into a fully functional store using Liquid Code, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript - writing clean, semantic markup. Developing and maintaining Shopify eCommerce stores by coding complete custom websites from provided design files. Migrating store customers, orders, order history and products to Shopify Plus via another platform/store. May be required to build custom apps from time to time. Developing with top-rated site-speed in mind Building stores to meet AODA compliance (WCAG 2.0 / 2.1) Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs Implementing responsive design for all stores (mobile-first, desktop and fully responsive across all browsers, devices, etc.) Mentoring an internal development team Advise on user interface best practices to meet performance and client requirements Strong QA/testing skills during development cycle for usability and bugs Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders About Your Dev Skills 3+ years of experience as a Shopify Developer Back-end development experience is a plus Strong understanding of Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX Hands-on experience with Shopify 2.0, including JSON-based templates and sections Familiarity with Shopify APIs and app ecosystem Proven experience working with other eCommerce platforms such as Magento, WooCommerce and/or BigCommerce is a plus Strong understanding of CSS and its cross-browser quirks, a keen eye for details and an ability to write scalable and maintainable CSS Understanding of responsive and cross-browser development Experience with Git or version control workflows Working knowledge of Figma Experience in working collaboratively with wireframes and technical specifications for interactive websites Nice to Have: Experience with Shopify Plus Familiarity with headless eCommerce or Hydrogen Knowledge of CRO and A/B testing tools Experience integrating analytics, GA4, or conversion tracking via GTM About You Team player; works well independently and with others Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work with multiple deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment Ability to adapt and to solve problems proactively and creatively
