Position: Shopify Architect / Solutions Architect Overview Were looking for a seasoned Shopify Architect (or Solutions Architect) to lead the design, integration, and deployment of high-value, enterprise-level Shopify and Shopify Plus solutions. You will translate complex merchant requirements into technical architectures across front-end, backend, integrations, and governance layers, ensuring scalable, performant, and future-ready commerce platforms. Key Responsibilities 1. Collaborate with enterprise stakeholders and clients to gather requirements, conduct technical discovery, and architect end-to-end Shopify solutions across design, performance, and integrations. 2. Define comprehensive technical architecturesfrom storefront (Liquid, Hydrogen) to backend services and third-party integrationsensuring all components align with client goals and Shopify best practices. 3. Serve as subject-matter expert on Shopify APIs (REST & GraphQL), app ecosystem, Shopify Plus features (Flow, Functions), and headless commerce capabilities. 4. Create, maintain, and present architecture documentation, design specs, and technical blueprints to both technical teams and executive audiences. 5. Mentor cross-functional and merchant-facing teams on architecture, integrations, and Shopify development standards. 6. Actively contribute feedback to Shopify product and R&D teamsshaping roadmap and platform enhancements. 7. Support pre-sales pursuits by estimating project efforts, providing technical scoping, and delivering technical presentations/workshops. Required Qualifications 1. Experience: Minimum of 58 years in solution architecture, enterprise eCommerce, or technical consulting with significant Shopify/Shopify Plus exposure. 2. Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of Shopify Liquid, Hydrogen (or headless) storefronts, REST/GraphQL integrations, theme development, and app ecosystem. 3. System Integrations: Demonstrated experience integrating Shopify with ERP, CRM, OMS, PIM, payment gateways, and analytics/data pipelines. 4. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills; adept at working with executive and technical stakeholders; comfortable in ambiguous, fast-paced environments. Preferred Experience

1. Enterprise-grade Shopify and Shopify Plus projects, especially B2B or omni-channel commerce architectures. 2. Pre-sales / consultative experience in enterprise settings; proven success in scoping, demonstrating, and managing large-scale engagements. 3.Familiarity with Shopify Flow, Shopify Functions, UI Extensions, and Shopify Plus automation tools. 4. Knowledge of enterprise DevOps practicesmonitoring, CI/CD, performance tuning, security, and scalable deployment workflows.
