Job Title: Shift In-Charge ETP

Job Responsibilities

1. Plant Operation & Monitoring

• Supervise and control all ETP processes (physical, chemical, and biological treatment).
• Monitor and maintain operating parameters such as pH, DO, MLSS, flow rate, and sludge volume.
• Ensure continuous and efficient operation of pumps, blowers, agitators, and dosing systems.
• Record operational data regularly and maintain logbooks.
• Handle plant start-up and shutdown as per SOPs.

2. Process Control & Optimization

• Adjust chemical dosing and process parameters based on influent and effluent characteristics.
• Identify process abnormalities and take timely corrective actions.
• Optimize chemical and power consumption to reduce operating costs.

3. Maintenance & Housekeeping

• Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Ensure all ETP equipment (pumps, motors, aerators, filters, etc.) are functioning properly.
• Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness of the ETP area.

4. Sampling & Documentation

• Collect influent, intermediate, and effluent samples as per schedule.
• Maintain daily operation records (flow, pH, TSS, COD, BOD, etc.).
• Support environmental reporting and compliance documentation.
• Prepare shift-wise and daily reports for the ETP Manager.

5. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure treated water meets PCB and internal quality standards.
• Follow safety procedures during plant and chemical handling operations.
• Report environmental deviations or incidents immediately to management.
• Conduct or assist in safety toolbox talks and training.

6. Team Supervision

• Lead and guide ETP operators and helpers during the shift.
• Assign duties and monitor team performance.
• Ensure smooth shift handover and communication between teams.

Candidate Requirements

• Hands-on experience in ETP operation and process control.
• Awareness of safety and environmental compliance norms.
• Should be able to join immediately or within 15 days.
