Shift Engineer (Mechanical)

We are looking for a skilled Shift Engineer with 4 to 9 years of experience in the mechanical maintenance field, preferably in the agrochemical industry. The position is based in Saykha, Gujarat.

• Erection, installation, and commissioning of various types of static and rotary equipment and piping work.
• Coordination with other engineering disciplines for smooth project implementation and timely delivery of construction drawings.
• Preparation of piping BOQ from P&ID and checking/reviewing AUTOCAD & PDMS generated equipment layouts, Piping GAs, isometrics, and models.
• Supervision of contractors and monitoring progress; preparation of daily/weekly progress reports.
• Inspection of various equipment like reactors, tanks, and utility equipment, and submission of inspection reports to the project manager.
• Planning, scheduling, and monitoring activities for timely project completion within time, quality, cost, and budget parameters.
• Well-versed with various codes and standards like ASTM, ASME B31.3, ASME 16.5, 16.11, 16.19, etc.
• Bill verifications/measurement checking as per tender conditions.
• Prepared all types of documents related to the job (Daily Report, Material Inventory Status, BOM, BOQ), giving instructions for safety equipment usage during job execution to prevent accidents. Conduct tool box talks before new work starts and instruct PPE usage.
• Actively manages projects from the field, addressing issues that arise during construction and providing on-site resolutions.

• Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the agrochemical industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E/B.Tech) in Mechanical or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with various codes and standards such as ASTM, ASME B31.3, ASME 16.5, 16.11, 16.19, etc.
• Experience in preparing documents related to the job (Daily Report, Material Inventory Status, BOM, BOQ).
• Knowledge of greenfield/brownfield projects.
• Proficiency in using tools like AUTOCAD & PDMS for generating equipment layouts and models.
