Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations for all utilities systems. Promote a safety culture by implementing and enforcing safety practices.

Utilities Operations: Responsible for operations of all utility systems, Slag grannulation system, gravity seperator system, pumps and piping including, LNG, Oxygen, water, air, steam, and cooling systems. Ensure continuous and uninterrupted supply of utilities to support smelting operations. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for utility systems.

Maintenance Management: Manage and supervise the maintenance activities of utility systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Schedule preventive maintenance and coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime. Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis on utility failures to develop corrective measures.

Team Leadership and Training: Lead and manage the utilities section team, including engineers, technicians, and operators. Provide coaching and training to team members to enhance skills and ensure high levels of productivity. Conduct performance appraisals and development plans for the team.

Budget and Resource Management: Assist in developing and managing the budget for utilities-related expenditures. Ensure optimal usage of resources (energy, water, etc.) to minimize costs while maintaining efficiency. Monitor utility consumption and identify areas for cost savings.

Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, such as production, maintenance, and engineering, to coordinate utility requirements. Provide technical support to other sections in troubleshooting utility-related issues.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in utility systems and processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and sustainability. Lead or participate in projects aimed at optimizing utility usage or implementing new technologies.

Reporting and Documentation: Ensure all utility operations are accurately documented, and records are maintained as required by company policy and regulatory standards. Prepare regular reports on utility consumption, performance, and maintenance activities.
