Setter Operator

You are invited to join Alcom Extrusions Pvt Ltd as a Setter for our mechanical manufacturing team. With 4 to 6 years of experience in the field, you will be responsible for the setup and maintenance of machinery to ensure smooth production processes. By utilizing your expertise, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing efficiency and maintaining quality standards. Your main duties will include setting up, adjusting, and maintaining production machinery and tooling to optimize performance. Your ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately will be crucial in ensuring precise machine setup. Conducting pre-production machine inspections and performing necessary tooling changes, adjustments, and calibrations will be part of your routine tasks to facilitate various production runs. In case of any issues with machines and equipment, your troubleshooting skills will be essential to minimize downtime. Collaboration with the production team to schedule and optimize machine operations will be expected from you. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting regular preventive maintenance on machines and tools to ensure longevity and uphold production quality. To excel in this role, you are required to possess an ITI certification in Fitter, Turner, or related trades with a background as a Setter. A comprehensive understanding of reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals is necessary. Your strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and experience with various mechanical manufacturing machinery will be advantageous. Ensuring adherence to safety practices and procedures in a manufacturing environment is crucial. You should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting. Monitoring work in progress and maintaining accurate records of machine settings, tool changes, and production output will be part of your responsibilities to uphold quality standards and specifications.
