Server Virtualization Platform Technical Lead

As the Software Development Technical Lead at Cisco, you will be part of a team responsible for the design, development, and delivery of Cisco NFVIS (Network Function Virtualization Infrastructure Software) product. This product is based on Linux KVM technologies and is deployed in prestigious customer deployments. NFVIS allows customers to manage VM and Container lifecycles, both Cisco and 3rd Party, uniquely on Cisco custom hardware and Cisco General Compute HW. The team has ownership of CI/CD with automation for features, managing release collaterals, and operating in a high-touch model for key customer accounts. In your role, you will lead the design, development, and release in a dynamic agile environment using modern methodologies and open-source tools. You will be responsible for owning your work, delivering elegant and scalable solutions, and collaborating with a multi-functional team to tackle real problems and meet customer needs. Your impact will be significant as you work with a team of makers, doers, and disruptors. To qualify for this role, you must have expert level experience in Linux, understanding of Kernel, virtualization technologies, Python, YANG, NetConf/REST API implementations, networking concepts, and protocols. A degree in Computer Science or a related field along with 15+ years of experience is required. Preferred qualifications include working closely with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership, writing specification documents, creating estimates and schedules, and having a background in build processes, scripting, and python automation.
