Server Administrator

Job Description

The Server Administrator will be responsible for the daily management and upkeep of our organization's server infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of systems. This role involves working with Windows and cloud services, and collaborating with internal teams for seamless operations. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain Windows and other servers. Monitor server performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues (hardware/software/network). Manage user accounts, permissions, backups, and storage systems. Apply security patches and perform system updates regularly. Monitor system logs and respond to alerts in a timely manner. Coordinate with the network, security, and application teams. Document system configurations, procedures, and changes. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline. 1+ years of experience in server administration (Windows/Linux). Strong knowledge of server hardware, operating systems, and virtualization. Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS/Apache, file and print services. Experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning. Understanding of server security best practices and firewalls.
