As an SEO Content Writer for the University Website, your role will be focused on creating high-quality, engaging, and SEO-optimized content for various sections of the university's website. You will work closely with academic departments, student services, and other university teams to gather relevant information and produce compelling copy tailored to the target audience. Key Responsibilities: - Write, edit, and proofread SEO-optimized content for program pages, faculty bios, admissions pages, blogs, news articles, and other sections of the university website. - Produce informative and engaging content that resonates with prospective students, parents, faculty, alumni, and other key audiences. - Implement SEO best practices, perform keyword research, and incorporate SEO strategies into content to improve website visibility and rankings. - Regularly update and optimize existing content to ensure it remains fresh, relevant, and aligned with current academic offerings. - Collaborate with different teams to ensure cohesive messaging across online platforms and enhance user engagement through tailored content. Qualifications Required: - 1-2 years of experience in writing SEO content, preferably for educational or institutional websites. - Strong understanding of SEO principles, keyword research, on-page and off-page SEO strategies, and SEO tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, etc. - Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a focus on clear, concise, and error-free content. - Ability to create a content strategy aligned with the university's brand, objectives, and target audiences. - Basic understanding of HTML and content management systems like WordPress for content optimization. - Excellent research skills to gather relevant data and university-specific information for content creation. - Strong attention to detail in grammar, punctuation, SEO, and formatting. - Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
