Senior/Principal Statistical Programmer

As a Programmer at Veramed, you will play a crucial role in providing programming support to a diverse range of clients in our portfolio. Your attention to detail and strong work ethic will contribute towards the development and maintenance of complex SAS programs for data manipulation, statistical analysis, report generation, and data visualization. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with statisticians and other team members on study design and analysis plans, ensuring the accuracy and validity of SAS programs through rigorous quality control procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain complex SAS programs for data manipulation, statistical analysis, report generation, and data visualization. - Utilize advanced SAS procedures and techniques. - Manage and manipulate large datasets, including data cleaning, transformation, and integration from various sources. - Apply statistical methodologies and techniques to analyze data and interpret results. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams on study design and analysis plans. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior programmers. - Identify opportunities to improve programming efficiency and streamline processes. - Develop and implement programming standards and best practices. - Create and maintain clear documentation for SAS programs and analyses. Qualifications Required: - Advanced proficiency in SAS programming language and various SAS procedures. - Strong understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies. - Experience with data manipulation, cleaning, and transformation techniques. - Ability to write efficient and optimized SAS code. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
