Senior Web Automation Engineer

As an experienced automation testing professional with at least 9 years of experience, your main responsibilities will be centered around designing, developing, and maintaining automation test frameworks for web applications, specifically focusing on modern front-end frameworks like Angular and React. Your tasks will involve automating functional and regression testing by utilizing tools such as Selenium and Playwright with JavaScript or TypeScript. Additionally, you will be in charge of conducting performance testing using tools like K6 and JMeter to ensure that the application meets performance benchmarks. Collaborating with cross-functional teams is essential in order to write clear and comprehensive test plans and test cases that validate UI functionality, performance, and security aspects. You will also take the lead on automation efforts for Selenium test suites, continuously enhancing the framework to keep pace with new application features and evolving technologies. By implementing BDD practices using Cucumber, you will facilitate collaboration with product owners and non-technical stakeholders to define automated tests. Troubleshooting, isolating, and triaging issues that arise during automated and manual testing, and collaborating with developers to efficiently resolve them, are also key aspects of your role. Integrating test automation into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure prompt feedback on code changes and consistent test results is vital. It is expected that you stay updated with emerging trends in web automation, frameworks, and tools, and provide recommendations for continuous improvements in the testing process. Qualifications Required: - Proven experience in automation testing for web applications built with Angular and React frameworks - Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code for automation purposes - Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cucumber, and Playwright for automation testing, as well as familiarity with performance testing tools like K6 and JMeter - Ability to write, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate both UI and backend functionalities - Proficiency in using automation tools to identify, reproduce, isolate, and validate issues, with experience in triaging issues raised by team members or users - Familiarity with UI automation tools and techniques to ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility - Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into continuous delivery workflows using tools like Jenkins or GitLab In this role, excellent communication skills are crucial.
