Senior Web Automation Engineer

You should have at least 9 years of experience in automation testing for web applications. Your main responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining automation test frameworks for web applications, focusing on modern front-end frameworks such as Angular and React. You will need to automate functional and regression testing using tools like Selenium and Playwright with JavaScript or TypeScript. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting performance testing using tools like K6 and JMeter to ensure the application meets performance benchmarks. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is crucial for writing clear and comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate UI functionality, performance, and security. You will also lead the automation efforts for Selenium test suites, continuously improving the framework to keep up with new application features and evolving technologies. Implementing BDD practices using Cucumber will enable collaboration with product owners and non-technical stakeholders to define automated tests. Troubleshooting, isolating, and triaging issues found during automated and manual testing, and working with developers to resolve them efficiently is also part of the role. Integrating test automation into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure rapid feedback on code changes and consistent test results is essential. Staying current with emerging trends in web automation, frameworks, and tools and making recommendations for continuous improvements in the testing process is expected. To be successful in this role, you must have proven experience with automation testing for web applications built with Angular and React frameworks. Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript are required, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code for automation purposes. Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cucumber, and Playwright for automation testing, as well as experience with performance testing tools like K6 and JMeter, are necessary. You should be able to write, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate both UI and backend functionalities. Adeptness at using automation tools to identify, reproduce, isolate, and validate issues, with experience in triaging issues raised by team members or users, is important. Familiarity with UI automation tools and techniques to ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility is a must. Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into continuous delivery workflows using tools like Jenkins or GitLab is crucial. Excellent communication skills are required, with the ability to articulate complex issues to both technical and non-technical audiences and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.,
