Job Description

As the Senior Vice President of Software Engineering for Network and Account to Account Gateway Services at Mastercard, your primary responsibility will be to define the structures and operating mechanisms for your organization. You will lead the shift towards a data-driven and continuous learning culture, ensuring the delivery plans and execution metrics are inspected thoroughly to assess risks and drive continuous improvement. Your strategic thinking and leadership will play a vital role in overseeing a wide range of applications, systems, and software development methodologies. Building and nurturing strong internal customer relationships will be essential to establish engagement models, deliver quality products, and identify cross-company requirements. Collaboration with business and product owners is crucial to develop and deliver new services that address market, customer, and product needs. You will be responsible for developing your managers and technical staff, continuously enhancing their performance, technical depth, program management results, and people management skills as you bring in new talent. Your role will involve emulating and promoting Mastercard Way behaviors, fostering an environment of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation. You will act as a role model for challenging the status quo and encouraging innovative thinking. To excel in this position, you should have a passion for bringing solutions to market and a strong IT background with experience in managing medium-to-large scale development organizations. Your technical expertise should include building highly scalable platforms focusing on customer experience and user experience at leading technology or financial companies. Executive presence is essential to collaborate with senior leaders within Mastercard and with global banks, issuing and acquiring processors, and fintech companies. Transformation experience is highly desirable, along with the ability to manage multiple functional areas within technology such as technical architecture, software development, system testing, and production support. You should possess hands-on experience in designing solutions and full-stack development using modern technologies for large enterprise platforms. Knowledge of coding microservices, building UI/UX, event-driven architecture, APIs, and ISO based message specifications is required. Familiarity with deploying applications using CI/CD pipelines, docker containers, Kubernetes, and Cloud platforms like AWS/Azure is advantageous. Furthermore, you should be well-versed in emerging technologies, industry trends, development methodologies, and standards. Your ability to manage objectives, build business cases, define success metrics, and optimize the business based on P&L interpretation will be crucial for success in this role.,
