Senior Validation Engineer

As a Software and Embedded Devices Engineer at our company, your role will involve testing software applications and embedded devices within a collaborative team environment. You will be responsible for conducting system testing and acceptance testing of all company products and software tools. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing test plans and executing automated and manual tests to identify potential design flaws - Keeping up with new test automation trends and acquiring new tools to enhance testing capabilities - Collaborating with R&D and Project Managers to schedule product test phases, report progress & issues, and suggest remediation actions to Developers - Designing and building test environments, maintaining and supporting the test setup for effective use by others - Reading technical documents, liaising with engineers, and predicting areas likely to fail - Providing oversight to less experienced engineers within the SW/FW Validation team in India To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications: - Detailed knowledge of embedded systems testing and understanding of real-time applications - Basic understanding of web application architecture and testing in an agile project environment - Proficiency in automated testing tools/frameworks such as TestComplete, Squish, Selenium, WebDriver, Postman, SoapUI, Newman - Ability to use Python for developing test scripts and implementing object-oriented test frameworks - Experience in designing and implementing behavior-driven tests defined in gherkin syntax - Familiarity with security testing using tools like nMap, Nessus, Burpsuite, and exposure to industrial communications protocols - Experience with real-world applications in industrial automation and process control industries, NI LabVIEW, and TestStand - Prior experience in leading or mentoring less experienced engineers In addition to the technical skills, the ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science/electronics or a similar discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering validation. Fluency in spoken and written English, analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and willingness for occasional travel within India and internationally are also required for this role.,
