Senior Training Specialist Operations (Medical Coding)

As a Senior Training Specialist in Medical Coding at our company in Chennai, you will be responsible for providing training in Coding Denial Management, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting clients through the transition process. Your expertise in ICD-10-CM, CPT conventions, and HCPCS codes will be crucial in accurately coding medical records and providing appropriate denial actions. Your role will involve mentoring a diverse group of coders, facilitating continuous education for clients, and participating in compliance audits. Key Responsibilities: - Follow the training agenda and conduct training sessions for Coding Denial Management - Accurately assign codes using ICD-10-CM, CPT conventions, and HCPCS codes - Interpret medical records across various specialties to determine denial actions - Mentor new hires and existing coder groups to develop denial management capabilities - Provide SME support for transitioning clients and work closely with them - Participate in compliance audits for all coders and auditors to ensure adherence to standards - Analyze trainees and facilitate their ramp-up to meet client and team expectations Qualifications: - Minimum 5 years of experience in multispecialty Denial coding and EM coding - Preferably 3 to 4 years of experience in Medical coding - 1 year of experience in denial coding management and 1 year in a Trainer role - AHIMA or AAPC Certification is mandatory Additional Company Details: Our company values strong interpersonal and communication skills, a passion for teaching and coaching, proficiency in MS Office, and a good understanding of US healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM).
