Job Description

You will play a crucial role as a Cab Climate System Engineer in the Thermal Management Vehicle System and Products team. Your responsibilities will include: - Identifying customer needs and prioritizing development activities. - Leading concepts and ideas to reality for the technological transformation of the thermal organization. - Developing robust time plans and roadmaps for the system according to project milestones. - Validating the design through virtual and physical verifications. - Hands-on experience in developing and testing cooling, heating systems, and solutions. - Collaborating with various engineering disciplines to integrate cooling and heating systems. - Participating in testing and validation of cooling/heating systems to ensure compliance with industry standards. - Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to cooling/heating system performance and efficiency. - Staying updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to cooling/heating systems and thermal management. - Structured way of working and delivering on complex tasks with excellence. - Experience in Future Technologies (e-MOB, H2 ICE, Fuel Cell), 1D Simulations is a Merit. - Knowledge of Volvo GTT development process and tools is a plus. - Working knowledge of Global standards for different markets is a plus. - Being a team player with excellent communication skills and a positive, global, problem-solving mindset. - Providing innovative engineering solutions and concepts. - Compiling and presenting information verbally and in writing. - Willingness to learn and develop your own skills and abilities. - Ability to work in a multicultural global environment. In this role, you will fulfill responsibilities such as: - Defining the CAB Climate functions in close interaction with Thermal Cooling and Heating Engineers. - Setting performance targets at the individual component level. - Analyzing the cooling & heating system performance virtually. - Verifying the heating system test outcomes and recommending necessary actions. - Securing vehicle legal and certification requirements from the heating & cooling system. - Leading and owning the System FMEA for heating & cooling systems. - Managing Q-Tools like D-FMEA, S-FMEA, Risk register, DFA, and DFAM. - Taking full engineering responsibility and independently delivering tasks. - Supporting other system engineers in defining the system architecture for future technologies. - Initiating and leading Advanced Engineering work in your area of responsibility. - Collaborating with global cross-functional teams within the Volvo GTT organization.
