Senior Test Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute

  test strategies

  ,

  test plans

  , and

  test cases

  for mobile applications.
• Perform

  functional, regression, UI/UX, usability, compatibility, smoke, and exploratory testing

  for
• Android and iOS apps.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools like

  JIRA

  or similar.
• Work closely with Product, Development, and Design teams to ensure high-quality releases.
• Set up and manage

  test environments

  , devices, and simulators/emulators.
• Develop and maintain

  mobile automation scripts

  using Appium/Detox/XCUITest/Espresso./Maestro
• Validate API responses and integrations using tools like

  Postman

  ,

  Insomnia

  ,

  Swagger

  , etc.
• Participate in

  release planning

  ,

  sprint ceremonies

  , and provide QA estimations.
• Ensure adherence to

  QA best practices

  , standards, and continuous improvement processes.
• Mentor other QA team members and support cross-functional testing needs.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5+ years

  of experience in Mobile Application Testing (Android & iOS).
• Strong understanding of

  mobile architecture

  , device fragmentation, OS versions, and platform-
• specific guidelines.
• Hands-on experience in

  manual testing

  and at intermediate level in

  mobile automation

• Experience with

  Appium

  Selenium

  Detox

  Espresso

• Proficient in testing APIs, backend services, and third-party integrations.
• Good understanding of

  CI/CD pipelines

  (Jenkins, GitLab, Bitrise, etc.) for automation execution.
• Familiarity with crash logs, debugging tools (adb, XCode logs), and network tools (Charles Proxy).
• Strong knowledge of

  Agile/Scrum methodologies
