Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on and technically sound Technical Writer for building technical documentation, user manuals, Standard operating procedures. What you'll do Visualize workflows, SOPs, and system behavior using flowcharts, swimlane diagrams, or process models. Work cross-functionally with engineers, designers, QA, and support to gather inputs and validate accuracy. Use version control or feedback loops to keep documentation up to date. Ensure documentation meets legal/regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, etc). Make documentation accessible (using alt text, screen reader-friendly formatting, etc.). Maintain document revisions, version histories, and changelogs. Use content reuse techniques for modular documentation (especially in SOPs and product guides). Write in clear, simple, and actionable language. Structure content logically: Understand how users interact with the product step-by-step. Break down complex operations into small, manageable actions. Develop comprehensive communication plans tailored specifically for each program/product goals/objectives/audience needs/stakeholder expectations/timelines/resources/budget constraints/risks/opportunities etc. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (legal/compliance/risk/privacy) to ensure alignment/integration/cohesion/synergy between program messaging/content distribution channels/promotional activities/internal policies/external regulations/company values/corporate vision etc. Define key performance indicators (KPIs)/metrics/milestones/deliverables/reporting mechanisms/evaluation criteria for measuring success/effectiveness/impact/ROI of communication initiatives. Monitor/review/analyze data-driven insights/feedback/results from various sources using findings to refine/adapt/improve strategies/tactics/content formats/messages/frequency/timing etc. Proactive Communication: Actively engage with internal stakeholders, including program/product managers, various departments, and employees. Maintain open lines of communication to gather information, share updates, discuss program goals, and align expectations. Use a variety of communication channels such as emails, calls, video conferences, and in-person meetings to ensure all parties are well-informed and involved. Feedback and Insights: Collect and analyze feedback from internal stakeholders through surveys, interviews, focus groups, polls, forums, and direct interactions. Use this data to identify areas for improvement in program content and communication strategies. Ensure that stakeholder concerns are addressed promptly and effectively to build trust and foster long-term relationships. Event Coordination: Organize and manage stakeholder engagement events such as Q&A sessions, webinars, workshops, seminars, etc. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing/sales/customer support/product development/legal/compliance/Risk/Privacy to ensure cohesive communication efforts across the organization. Support change management initiatives by providing clear and timely information to stakeholders about new policies/procedures/products/services/technologies/processes/etc. Regular Updates: Provide regular updates on program progress/milestones/accomplishments/challenges via multiple channels (newsletters/blog posts/social media/email campaigns/company intranet/webinars/team meetings/all-hands sessions). Keep stakeholders informed about key developments/new initiatives/upcoming events/opportunities/issues/status reports/metrics/results/impact stories/testimonials/case studies/success stories/etc. What you'll bring 7+ Years of experience building technical documentation, user manuals, Standard operating procedures. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear & concise language. Tailor content based on user needs, roles, and knowledge levels. Organize content logically using headings, subheadings, tables, and diagrams. Develop clear navigation structures and indexes for large documents. Tool Proficiency: Tools Like Documentation: Confluence, Microsoft Word, Google Docs SOPs: Lucidchart, Visio. Developer Docs knowledge: Swagger (OpenAPI), Postman, Markdown, GitHub/GitLab Wiki Manuals: Adobe FrameMaker. Soft Skills Ability to lead by example with a hands-on, proactive approach. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
