Job Description

About Role:

A Senior Technical Writer/Business Analyst (TW/BA) is responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining Enterprise/SAAS application documentation for product usage and validation. As a Senior level Technical Writer/Business Analyst, you must also mentor others in the TW/BA team and contribute to more difficult and critical tasks such as estimation, planning, participating in product launch activities, and performing GDP reviews.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Mentor other TW/BAs.
  • Lead and participate in requirements grooming and planning.
  • Work with the developers, product owners (PO), and quality assurance (QA) to create and edit product documents including Release Notes (RN), Change Log (CL), Functional Requirements Specification (FRS), User Requirements Specification (URS), and Process Qualifications (PQ).
  • Work with the developers, PO, and QA to create and edit product Online Help.
  • Work with developers, marketing, and POs to create knowledge base articles on Salesforce and share them with customers in alignment with the Product Launch activities.
  • Participate in reviewing and approving Installation Qualifications (IQ), System Requirements Specifications (SRS), and Server Sizing.
  • Review executed IQs to guarantee Good Documentation Practices are followed prior to delivering the IQs to customers.
  • Act as a project manager to plan, execute, and deliver complex writing projects with the help of other TW/BAs.
  • Provide high-level estimates for multi-sprint projects.
  • Review the Operation Qualifications (OQ) created by QA to ensure they 100% trace to the written FRS and the feature implementation.
  • Review other existing documents prior to delivery to proofread the text and ensure the latest templates are used and the company branding guide is followed.
  • Resolve documentation issues and correct impacted documents.
  • Review row information and perform information engineering to produce different documents for different user personas.
  • Provide daily status updates for the assignments on hand.
  • Demonstrate advanced technical writing skills and consistently follow the standard writing process.
  • Demonstrate advanced skills using Adobe RoboHelp, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
  • Effectively use different image editing, video recording, and HTML editing tools to complete the required job.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in creating and editing technical documents.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe RoboHelp or similar help authoring tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of Image and Video recording and editing tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Scrum development framework and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of salesforce knowledge base and working with knowledge base articles.
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
