Senior Structural Design Engineer

As a candidate with 10-12 years of experience and an M.Tech in Civil Engineering, your multidisciplinary knowledge is highly valued. Your minimum 8 years of experience with reputed structural consultants in the field of consultancy will be beneficial. If you have experience working on the client side, it will be considered a bonus. Key Responsibilities: - Be conversant with designs of projects under the categories of Residential, Commercial, and Retail projects. - Familiarity with analysis and design software such as STAAD, ETABS, SAFE, RCDC. - Proficiency in drafting software such as AutoCAD/ZWCAD. Ability to develop drawings independently when required. - Knowledge of relevant IS codes of practice. - Experience in designing concrete, steel structures, and basic knowledge of PT designs. - Ability to develop excel spreadsheets for design requirements. - Understanding of interdependent fields such as architecture, landscape, facade, and MEP. - Coordination of internal/external stakeholders and management of inter-department deliverables. - Willingness to travel within India for discussions with consultants to expedite design deliverables. - Creation of trackers for details/drawings as needed and alerting the Reporting Manager for timely intervention. - Assistance to the Reporting Manager for on-site reviews, visits, assessments, etc. - Checking and reviewing drawings from external sources, marking up/resolving issues for review by the Reporting Manager. - Ensuring strict control over design quantities to prevent budget overruns. - Generating drawings/details for in-house design development under your Reporting Manager; creating consolidated presentations for internal design discussions/meetings. - Conducting regular site visits to ensure design intent is translated on-site; discussing variations/deviations with the Reporting Manager to address/resolve issues and maintaining records of actions taken with necessary approvals.
