Senior Staff Engineer - Full Stack Java

• Drive the delivery of high-value, complex software projects with strong hands-on involvement in design, coding, and problem resolution.

• Provide technical direction and thought leadership across a product or domain area, setting in architecture, design, and code quality.
• Act as a mentor and coach to developers-reviewing designs and code, troubleshooting technical issues, and helping team members enhance their skills and engineering practices.
• Champion best practices in software engineering, agile methodologies, and DevOps, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance of delivered solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, influencing design decisions and ensuring alignment to business and product goals.
• Promote innovation by identifying opportunities to adopt new technologies (AI/ML tools, automation, cloud native practices) that drive engineering productivity and product excellence.
• Build a strong technical culture within the team, empowering engineers to solve complex problems and grow into future leaders.
• Report to a Director while operating as a senior individual contributor and technical role model.
• You will be reporting to a Director

Qualifications

• You should have 12+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5+ years in senior/lead roles providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Proven expertise in Java / Spring Boot full-stack development and building cloud-native, microservices-based applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) (Lambda, EC2, S3, Glue, Kubernetes, EKS/ECS, AWS Batch).
• Proficiency in CI/CD and DevOps practices (Jenkins, GitHub/Git, BitBucket, automated testing, observability).
• Strong foundation in system design, performance optimization, and scalable architecture patterns.
• Experience mentoring engineers, conducting design/code reviews, and enabling teams to adopt modern engineering practices.
• Exposure to AI-driven developer productivity tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, GenAI-based tools) is a plus.
