Senior Specialist - Water Quality

As a member of our team at WSP, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects within the natural resource sector, focusing on water quality and environmental data screening, management, and statistical analysis. Your responsibilities will include supporting project teams in the preparation of written and graphical materials for reports and presentations. You will collaborate with teams from different departments such as aquatics, toxicology, geochemistry, and hydrology. Additionally, you will work with multi-disciplinary teams to complete environmental impact assessments and monitoring programs. To be successful in this role, you should hold a university degree, preferably an MSc or PhD in environmental science, environmental engineering, or geochemistry. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential, along with technical expertise in water quality assessment and analysis. Proficiency in software such as GoldSim, MIKE3D, and CE-QUAL-W2 is required, as well as advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with data management tools like PowerBI. Knowledge of computer programming languages such as Python, R, and VB will be considered an asset. The ability to multitask, maintain flexibility, and work independently are also key qualities we are looking for in potential candidates.
