Senior Specialist, IPTX

Role Overview: You will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex IP networks, focusing on multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Juniper, NG-DU, and Dasan). Your role will require hands-on expertise in advanced networking protocols and technologies to ensure high network availability and performance. Key Responsibilities: - Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot IP networks with technologies like ISIS, BGP, SRv6, L2VPN, L3VPN, E-VPN, QoS, and IPv6. - Troubleshoot transit network traffic management including BGP attributes and route-policy manipulation. - Configure ISIS process IDs, prevent loops, and conduct route checks. - Utilize tools like ping, trace, port-mirroring, and Wireshark for data analysis and diagnostics. - Perform configuration and troubleshooting on multi-vendor devices such as Cisco routers (ASRs, N9K on XE platform), Catalyst switches (2900, 3600 series), Juniper routers (MX300, MX900, ERX/SRX), and Dasan. - Configure and troubleshoot SRv6 L2VPN, SRv6 L3VPN, and E-VPN solutions. Incident & Fault Management: - Analyze and resolve trouble tickets, escalating issues as needed. - Identify root causes of incidents and recommend corrective actions. - Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical events. Network Performance & Change Management: - Perform node health checks and address network performance issues. - Implement network changes following Change Request (CR) processes. - Support integration of new network nodes and ensure compliance with network management protocols. Capacity & Compliance: - Monitor network capacity and ensure compliance with licenses and software versions. - Report potential breaches in capacity. Documentation & Reporting: - Maintain accurate records of network configurations, incidents, and changes. - Provide regular reports on network health, capacity, and incident resolution. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in IP Networking, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS, and various other networking technologies. - Proficiency with Cisco and Juniper devices, alarm analysis, troubleshooting, and configuration. - Strong analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills. - Experience with SRv6 L2VPN, SRv6 L3VPN, and E-VPN configuration and troubleshooting. - Familiarity with SNMP for network management. - Ability to handle assignments independently and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. - Cisco Certification (CCNP/CCIP) and JUNOS Certification (JNCIA/JNCP) preferred. - Experience in capacity management and network performance reporting. - Excellent communication and documentation skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24x7 operational environment.,
