PURPOSE We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Engineer THE RESPONSIBILITIES WE ENTRUST YOU WITH. Code, Design, prototype, perform reviews and consult in the process of building highly scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant systems Build Best in class Payment Systems As our senior technologist continuously refactor applications and architectures to maintain high-quality levels, be actively involved in formulating product roadmap and defining the OKRs of the team Continue to stay abreast of the latest technologies in distributed systems, caching and research new technologies, tools that enable building the next generation systems Act as an engineer that enjoys writing readable, concise, reusable, extensible code every day Discuss, articulate requirements with product management and scope, execute the feature road map Participate in team s hiring process by being a panellist in interviews Be a guide/mentor to fellow engineers WHAT MATTERS IN THIS ROLE Experience Portfolio 5-8 Years of experience. Technical Skills Efficiency At least 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying large scale applications, microservices in language stacks like Java/J2EE, Springboot, Microservices, Resful APIs, messaging system, system design. At least 1 year of experience in leading a team of engineers and strong in system design Deep knowledge in one or more of these areas: Cloud, NoSQL stores; we use AWS, Kubernetes, Postgres, Kafka extensively while our primary languages are Java, Kotlin Experience with Kafka and / or stream processing like Flink or Spark Streaming Strong understanding in either of HTTP or gRPC protocol and serialization formats like protobuf Experience in containerization technologies like docker, Kubernetes Experience in building low latency, high volume REST API requests handling Excellent attitude and passion working in a team with willingness to learn Experience is working with different stakeholders from Business/Product Having worked in a fintech / payments / banking environment is a plus Communication Ownership Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to build relationships with candidates and stakeholders. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple roles and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Adaptability : Comfortable with dynamic requirements and able to pivot recruitment strategies as needed.
