Senior Software Engineer/ SDE-III

As a highly skilled and motivated Backend Lead Engineer specializing in Java, you will lead our backend engineering team to drive technical excellence and ensure the implementation of complex backend services following best practices. Your role will involve mentoring engineers, shaping the architecture, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions. - Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers, guiding them towards professional growth through regular one-on-ones, feedback, and fostering a collaborative culture. - Architect and design scalable backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and other relevant technologies to ensure maintainability. - Establish best practices for clean, high-performance code, enforce coding standards, and conduct regular code reviews to maintain quality. - Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. - Monitor and optimize backend service performance to ensure high availability and scalability. - Continuously evaluate and improve engineering processes, tools, and technologies to enhance team efficiency and maintain quality standards. - Design RESTful APIs and microservices with a focus on usability, security, and performance. - Design systems with fault tolerance, resilience, and scalability to ensure system reliability. - Take ownership of backend systems from design through deployment, including troubleshooting and resolving complex production issues. - Lead the team in agile software development methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - 6 years of backend development experience, with a strong focus on Java (Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc.). - 3 years of experience in a leadership or lead engineer role, managing or mentoring a team of engineers. - Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable backend systems and microservices. - Expertise in building and maintaining RESTful APIs, integrating with third-party services, and optimizing databases. - Strong understanding of software architecture patterns and experience with cloud infrastructure and containerization technologies. - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and modern software development practices. - Excellent problem-solving skills, troubleshooting abilities, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
