Senior Software Engineer/ SDE-III

As a highly skilled and motivated Backend Lead Engineer with expertise in Java, you will be leading our backend engineering team to drive technical excellence and ensure the implementation of complex backend services. Your key responsibilities will include providing leadership and mentorship to the team, guiding them towards professional growth, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture through regular one-on-ones and feedback sessions. You will play a crucial role in architecting and designing scalable and maintainable backend systems and services using Java, Spring Boot, and other relevant technologies. By establishing and enforcing best practices for clean and high-performance code, you will ensure adherence to coding standards and conduct regular code reviews to maintain quality. Collaboration with product managers, frontend engineers, DevOps, and other stakeholders will be essential to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Monitoring and optimizing the performance of backend services to ensure high availability and scalability will also be part of your responsibilities. Continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and technologies will be crucial to maintain efficiency and quality within the team. You will design RESTful APIs and microservices, focusing on usability, security, and performance, while also considering fault tolerance, resilience, and scalability in system design. Taking full ownership of backend systems from design through deployment and ongoing maintenance, you will troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues. Leading the team in agile software development methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives, will be part of your role. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with at least 6 years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on Java. Additionally, you should have 3 years of experience in a leadership or lead engineer role, designing and implementing scalable backend systems and microservices. Proficiency in RESTful APIs, databases, software architecture patterns, cloud infrastructure, containerization technologies, CI/CD pipelines, version control, and modern software development practices is required. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal abilities are essential for leading technical discussions and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
