Senior Software Engineer (Java Developer)

As a Senior Software Engineer at LSEG RISK Intelligence Technology group, your role involves designing, building, and maintaining efficient Java code. Your key responsibilities include participating in planning sessions, focusing on quality through testing and reviews, and documenting technical reference material for supportability and reuse. Additionally, you will actively engage in team meetings and provide timely updates to the supervisor. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, and maintain efficient Java code based on user requirements. - Develop quality software using agile methodologies. - Participate in planning sessions to analyze requirements and provide design options. - Focus on quality through testing and peer reviews. - Document technical reference material for supportability and reuse. - Provide timely status updates in team meetings. Key Qualifications: - Expert software engineer with 4+ years of experience in Java, J2EE, Spring, and Spring Boot. - Proficient in object-oriented programming and design patterns. - Familiar with continuous build, integration, and Unit Testing. - Prior knowledge of databases, SQL, and security implications. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Proficient in writing clean, readable code and using source code management tools like Github. - Experienced in agile software development lifecycle. Desired Skills/Experience: - Experience with API interfaces. - Understanding of multithreading. - Familiarity with Cloud technologies (AWS).
