Job Description

Role Overview: As a Senior Software Engineer (Java Backend Developer) at the company, you will be responsible for the analysis, design, development, and delivery of software solutions. Your main tasks will include defining requirements for new applications, customizing applications to integrate with MasterCard specifications, and providing leadership and technical training to other team members. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, design, and develop technical solutions to meet business requirements while adhering to MasterCard standards and best practices - Lead day-to-day system development and maintenance activities to meet service level agreements, ensuring high levels of innovation, cost-effectiveness, and quality - Accountable for the full systems development life cycle, including creating requirements documents, design, test strategy, performance benchmarking, release plans, and more - Perform system maintenance, incident management, and provide on-call support - Research and evaluate new technologies, participate in Proof of Concepts, and collaborate with vendors for support and product selection - Conduct training sessions on new technologies and methodologies, ensuring knowledge transfer to team members - Promote Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes, enhance standards, and improve process efficiency - Mentor and guide team members during all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle - Ensure adequate test coverage in Unit Testing, System Testing, and Performance Testing - Coordinate offshore development and manage day-to-day activities effectively Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent work experience - 3 to 5 years of experience in a related field - 3 to 5 years of experience in delivering secure solutions in the Financial Services Sector preferred - Broad understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies - Strong communication, relationship-building, collaborative, and organizational skills - High-energy, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to function under pressure - Initiative, self-motivation, and willingness to learn and take on challenging opportunities - Ability to work effectively in a matrix-based, geographically distributed project team (Note: Additional details about the company were not included in the provided job description.),
