Senior Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer at HSBC, your role will involve: - Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). - Strong understanding of cloud architecture and services, such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery. - Setup and configure various GCP Services like Cloud SQL, Cloud PubSub, and cloud data store. - Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. - Collaborate with development teams to ensure optimized cloud deployment of applications. - Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Google Cloud Build, Jenkins. - Monitor and optimize cloud resources for cost, performance, and security. - Automate infrastructure provisioning with tools like Terraform, Google Cloud Deployment Manager. - Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services. - Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices. - Knowledge of Google Cloud certifications is a plus. - Stay updated with the latest GCP features, services, and best practices. - Any knowledge of other clouds like AWS, Azure will be an added advantage.
