Role Overview: As a senior software engineer at Cisco, you will play a vital role in creating customer delight through simple and user-friendly solutions. You will work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, demonstrating a proactive and resilient attitude. Your responsibilities will include working across the full stack, developing new features and infrastructure, assuming leadership of new projects, ensuring application performance and quality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement features. Key Responsibilities: - Be part of a team involved in developing and testing software for Cable Automation and Orchestration architecture - Participate in agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment - Architect end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale, primarily using Java, React, and JavaScript - Collaborate with designers and engineers to create reliable APIs, engaging across time zones via GitHub and videoconferences - Continuously learn new tools and technologies as required Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with 8+ years of software engineering experience - 5+ years of Full-Stack development experience with modern languages and front-end technologies - Experience in system design and delivery of scalable distributed applications - Proficiency in Cloud Native Architecture, Microservices Architecture, and Event Driven Architecture - Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and asynchronous programming - Knowledge of Kubernetes, Kafka, Cassandra, and containerization - Experience with RESTful APIs, Java, React, Redux, Typescript, JavaScript, and related tools - Familiarity with front-end development tools, CSS preprocessors, unit testing frameworks, and version control systems - Strong problem-solving skills, ability to think in code, and motivation to innovate Additional Company Details: Cisco is revolutionizing the networking industry by investing in innovative solutions that connect and protect organizations in the AI era and beyond.
