Senior Software Engineer - Backend Systems

As a Senior Software Engineer at Kemar Automation, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and maintenance of robust backend systems and APIs. Your role will be critical in ensuring the seamless operation of our core platforms and integrating new features to enhance system performance. This full-time, on-site position based in Thane offers you the opportunity to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware, firmware, and product teams, to drive continuous improvement and innovation. Key Responsibilities - Design and implement efficient backend systems and APIs. - Write clean and maintainable code to ensure system stability. - Collaborate with various teams to drive integration and feature development. - Debug and resolve software defects and performance issues. - Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and optimizations. - Integrate third-party APIs and industrial systems as required. - Contribute to the enhancement of development processes. Required Qualifications & Skills - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - 5+ years of experience in backend development or software engineering. - Proficiency in backend programming languages like Python, Node.js, Java, or .NET Core. - Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development. - Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB. - Familiarity with version control systems like Git. - Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is beneficial. - Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is advantageous. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Experience in industrial automation or IoT device integration is preferred. Preferred Experience - Hands-on experience with RFID, GPS integration, AI/ML, or IoT platforms. - Background in logistics, warehousing, or industrial automation. - Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker/Kubernetes.
