Senior Software Engineer - Backend

• Technical Ownership

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and propose improvements for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Write high-quality, testable, maintainable code following engineering best practices.
  • Participate in design and code reviews.
  • Efficient debugging skills.

• Feature Development & Execution

  • Own features end-to-end from design through deployment and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Tech Leads to translate requirements into implementation plans.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and drive root-cause resolution.

• Collaboration

  • Work closely with frontend, data, and platform teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Mentorship & Team Contribution

  • Mentor SE I and SE II engineers on technical skills and coding practices.
  • Share knowledge through documentation and technical discussions.
  • Help uphold engineering quality and foster continuous improvement.

Who You Are:

• Bachelors or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering.
• 3.5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building and maintaining backend systems in production.
• Proven contributor to moderately complex technical initiatives.
• Exposure to mentoring or guiding peers is a plus.
• Languages: Java (primary), SQL.
• Frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, Spring Cloud, Hibernate/JPA.
• APIs: REST; GraphQL exposure is a plus.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis.
• Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Messaging: Kafka, SQS.
• Experience with tools like Git, JUnit, Mockito, Maven/Gradle, Grafana and other monitoring tools.
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Collaborative and proactive approach.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments.
• Growth mindset and willingness to mentor others.
