Senior Site Engineer - Civil

Role Overview: At Jacobs, you will be tasked with reviewing and understanding the scope of works along with BOQ as provided by the client. You will supervise to ensure that the construction activities are carried out as per the drawings, specifications, and relevant codes/standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring the quality of work, conducting tests, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with contractors for smooth execution of the project. Effective communication skills are essential to convey any discrepancies or issues faced at the site. Key Responsibilities: - Review and understand the scope of works along with BOQ provided by the client - Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and codes/standards - Review and approve quality plan, Inspection & Test plan, and work procedures submitted by contractors - Conduct tests, maintain documentation, and monitor compliance with quality requirements - Coordinate with contractors for handing over structures/equipment foundations and releasing fronts to other discipline contractors - Prepare and issue punch lists on completion of each area, follow up for closure - Scrutinize and certify contractors RA bills and final bills when required - Follow up with Projects/Engineering team to release any holds in drawings to prevent schedule delays - Prepare and maintain joint measurement records for approved variations/changes - Understand and implement HSE procedures - Monitor work progress, follow up with contractors to ensure adequate resources for timely completion - Perform any other works directed by Construction Manager for project completion Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management - 5-8 years of experience with strong knowledge of construction materials, specifications, and industry standards - Specific experience in supervising Finishes of FMCG/Industrial projects - Good written and verbal communication skills If you require further support or reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process, please contact the team via Careers Support.
