Senior SAMS VMware licensing Consultant

In this role at EY, you will be working in a team environment as a Consultant - Software Asset Management (SAM) to manage customers" licenses. Your main responsibility will be to assist customers in understanding and controlling their software licensing entitlements while avoiding legal pitfalls. You will leverage industry best practices to expand host company licensing opportunities and build more profitable, long-term relationships with customers. Key Responsibilities: - Review and analyze VMware licensing agreements and entitlements to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and VMwares licensing models. - Create and manage VMware compliance reports, license position reports, and track usage to optimize license utilization and ensure compliance with VMwares terms. - Identify opportunities for optimizing VMware licensing for cost savings, better utilization, and compliance with VMware's product offerings. - Provide guidance on VMware's various licensing programs and advise internal teams on appropriate program selection. - Analyze complex VMware licensing scenarios and ensure proper allocation and usage. - Assist in negotiations for new VMware licensing agreements, renewals, and manage relationships with VMware representatives. - Offer insights on licensing for VMware's virtualization technologies. Qualifications Required: - 5 years of professional experience in the licensing industry with successful ITAM/SAM management and software licensing experience across publishers. - Understanding of different VMware licensing models and programs. - Proficiency in virtualization technologies. - Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. - Experience with asset management software, specifically ServiceNow and SAM, preferred.
