Senior Registrar - Emergency Medicine

Role Overview: As an Emergency Medicine Physician in our team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality emergency medical care to patients. Your responsibilities will involve patient care, team leadership & training, departmental operations & quality improvement, emergency preparedness, and effective communication with patients and their families. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct initial patient assessments, triage, and diagnoses for a wide range of illnesses and injuries. - Administer necessary medications and treatments to stabilize critical patients. - Perform emergency procedures and manage resuscitations. - Provide ongoing care and follow-up for admitted patients. - Supervise and mentor junior doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. - Lead the clinical team, providing guidance and clinical governance for the department. - Contribute to the educational and professional development of all staff. - Participate in departmental audits, quality improvement projects, and the development of evidence-based practices. - Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and medical history. - Integrate with other hospital departments to provide seamless emergency care. - Contribute to the planning and implementation of major incident protocols. - Participate in disaster response planning and drills to ensure readiness. - Effectively communicate with patients and their families, explaining diagnoses and treatment plans. - Collaborate with specialists and consultants for complex cases. Qualifications Required: - Education: MBBS, MD, DNB, or MRCEM in Emergency Medicine - Experience: 1-4 years of experience in Emergency Medicine Please note that the job types available are Full-time, Permanent with benefits such as a flexible schedule, paid sick time, and paid time off.
