Description
As a Senior R&D Infrastructure and Data Engineer at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and excellence in the evolution of the digital landscape. Specifically, you will be an integral part of the Cyber Fraud Fusion Centre, where you will be responsible for delivering scalable CFFC services to disrupt and prevent upstream economic crime. To excel in this role, you should have experience working as a cloud engineer in a global organization, with a diverse range of architecture expertise including deployment of GUI applications, data transformation, automation, and data storage solutions. Additionally, you should possess the ability to coach software and data engineers to deliver complex projects under consistent delivery processes such as CI/CD. Your proficiency in AWS Cloud technology, including management and governance tools like Lambda, Auto Scaling, VPC, EC2, KMS, IAM, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, S3, RDS, Glue, Athena, Lake Formation, and Redshift, along with knowledge in Databricks and Snowflake, will be essential. Experience in supporting analytics use cases from ML Ops and data hydration perspective will also be valuable. In this role, you will be expected to drive projects technically to completion, identify risks, costs, challenge architecture, and ensure long-term sustainability. Your understanding of different project methodologies, lifecycles, major phases, dependencies, milestones, and required documentation needs will be crucial in collaborating across teams to deliver complex systems and components while managing stakeholders" expectations effectively. Some other highly valued skills for this role may include experience in ML Ops on both on-prem and cloud platforms, knowledge of the latest social engineering tactics used by cybercriminals, expertise in processing real-time events data at scale, practical understanding of full-stack web development, and experience working in a fraud technology function. The role can be based in Pune. Your primary purpose in this role will be to build and maintain systems that collect, store, process, and analyze data, including data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes, to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and security of all data. Key responsibilities will include building and maintaining data architecture pipelines, designing and implementing data warehouses and data lakes, developing processing and analysis algorithms, and collaborating with data scientists to build and deploy machine learning models.
