Job Title: Manual QA Tester with End-to-End Testing, JIRA Expertise, and AI Knowledge Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India Experience Level: 5-7 years Job Overview We are seeking a meticulous Manual QA Tester with hands-on experience in executing end-to-end testing scenarios, proficient in using JIRA for test management, and possessing foundational knowledge in automation and AI. The ideal candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality software by thoroughly testing applications across various stages of the SDLC, from requirements analysis to post-release validation. Key Responsibilities End-to-End Testing : Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test scenarios covering all aspects of the application, ensuring complete test coverage from requirements to post-release. Test Management : Utilize JIRA/Azure for managing test cases, tracking defects, and maintaining traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects. Experience with JIRA plugins like Xray or Zephyr is a plus. Test Documentation : Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Document defects with clear reproduction steps and expected vs. actual results. Collaboration : Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure quality standards are met. Regression and Sanity Testing : Perform regression testing to ensure new changes do not adversely affect existing functionality. Conduct sanity testing to verify that specific functionalities work as expected. Exploratory Testing : Engage in exploratory testing to identify potential issues that may not be covered by predefined test cases. Basic Automation and AI Knowledge : Assist in the development and execution of automated test scripts. Explore and apply basic AI concepts to enhance testing processes. Required Skills Qualifications Manual Testing Expertise : Proven experience in manual testing, including functional, regression, sanity, smoke, black-box, and white-box testing. Tracking Proficiency : Hands-on experience with tools like JIRA for test management, defect tracking, and reporting. Familiarity with JIRA plugins like Xray or Zephyr is advantageous. Test Documentation : Strong ability to create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and defect reports. Basic Automation Skills : Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium or JUnit. Basic scripting knowledge in languages like Java or Python is a plus. AI Fundamentals : Basic Understanding of basic AI concepts and their application in software testing. Agile Methodologies : Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration. Good to Have Advanced Automation Skills : Experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks. Performance Testing : Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter. Continuous Integration : Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests. AI-Powered Testing Tools : Exposure to AI-driven testing tools and methodologies. Education Certifications Degree : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Certifications : ISTQB Foundation Level or equivalent certification is a plus.
